Make your mark as a document controller at our office in Abu Dhabi. As a document controller you are a crucial part of a project team as well as the document management department. On a daily basis you will be working closely together with engineers and project managers who are depending on your pro-active aid and accurate assistance when it comes to raising issues, document handling, and exchange. At the end of the day, you will be the person who made sure that all project documentation was properly processed. You ensure that the entire project team, including sub-contractors and client organizations, can find what they need to move forward on the project. Supported by the knowledge of your document management colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a correct final project documentation package to the client.
We are looking for a social, service-oriented and accurate team player with an ambition to grow in the field of document control.
Your responsibilities as a document controller are
- You act as the first point of contact for multiple project teams, the customer and subcontractor with questions about the document management system (DMS) and the project documentation.
- Within the project team, you bear ownership of the DMS and instruct the parties involved in its use.
- You are responsible for registering and processing project documentation and distribution to the customer and external parties.
- As an integral part of the project team, you proactively report to the project team and the client about the status of incoming and outgoing documents.
- You actively identify problems and bottlenecks with regard to both the documents and the functioning of the DMS.
Your qualities and experience
You can make your mark as a document controller if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, record management or relevant.
- At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a multinational company, multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of Document Management Systems and MS office applications (Excel, SharePoint).
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
