About the role
The Superintendent Supply Chain & Contract will be responsible to provide high-level specialist support and knowledge to supply chain contracts and procurement function by managing Supply Chain Contracts and Procurement/Purchasing team.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and deploy a sophisticated contract management strategy and procurement plans
- Lead a team of contract and procurement/purchasing specialists, developing them through coaching and mentoring for their growth
- Negotiate significant contracts and develop key relationships at senior levels within suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Implement aspects of functional strategy as a leader within the business
- Develop contract / commodity related procurement strategies
- Honed understanding of commercial and operational drivers
- Travel domestically and (occasionally) internationally
- Interface with peers across the Regional Procurement team structure
About you
- Graduated from Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Science, Applied Science or other relevant field [or substantial relevant practical experience]
- Demonstrated commercial leadership in contract related roles (procurement, sales, law or marketing/business development)
- Proven capability negotiating high-value contracts with sophisticated counter-parties
- Experience in construction or engineering or manufacturing industries
- Demonstrated ability to gain confidence of leaders and build rapport with relevant internal stakeholders
