Location: Indonesia-Batam
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of planners on production planning activities as well as professional growth development in the department.
- Develop and execute production planning strategies to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to forecast demand and develop production schedules accordingly.
- Analyze production capacity, resource availability, and lead times to identify constraints and optimize production schedules.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, inventory targets, and operational capabilities.
- Monitor and review with the production team on production progress and address any deviations from the plan, including capacity constraints, material shortages, and equipment downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes, including the adoption of advanced planning tools and methodologies.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to communicate production plans, address issues, and drive alignment across departments whenever necessary.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by your direct supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in operation management, supply chain management, engineering, or business related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in production planning or operation management in manufacturing environments with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems, advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software, and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing planning team.
- Experience in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and change management preferred.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
