Role Description (6 months Internship Period)


Green School Bali is a progressive, dynamic and wall-less Pre-K to Grade 12 educational institution located in the lush jungle of Bali, Indonesia, that features many innovative sustainable practices, including solar and micro-hydro renewable energy projects that are taking the school off the grid.


We seek for a passionate ELL and Learning Support Intern for our Lower School to engage our students in creative, purposeful and holistic learning experiences within the Learning Neighborhood. Working in collaboration with the dynamic Lower School team, the ELL and Learning Support Intern caters to diverse student learning styles, in particular those who have identified learning needs, by applying a wide range of teaching techniques.


As an Intern, you will assist in providing tailored educational support to students, English language and reading, on life skills, executive functioning, and academic development. This role involves working closely with educators and support staff to enhance student learning experiences through individualized approaches, hands-on activities, and structured interventions. You will gain valuable insights into inclusive education, student engagement strategies, and the fundamentals of learning support.


AS AN ELL AND LEARNING SUPPORT INTERN, ARE YOU?

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Passionate about individualized learning and student development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on, dynamic, and rugged environment.
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate with various stakeholders in an educational setting.

TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR

  • Provide direct instruction and support in areas such as time management, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making to enhance students' executive functioning.
  • Integrate hands-on experiences and practical learning opportunities into the curriculum to teach students how to safely and effectively use power tools for guided projects.
  • Collaborate with the School’s learning support specialists, classroom teachers, school counselors, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student learning and development.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of student progress, including regular assessments, anecdotal records, and individualized goal tracking, to inform instructional practices and communicate progress to families.
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on student achievements, challenges, and strategies for support, fostering a collaborative partnership in the learning process.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in the field of special education, vocational training, and executive functioning support.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, including the ability to work comfortably in a rugged environment and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Other Requirements (by Indonesian Law)

  • Must be able to pass an HIV test (legally required).
  • Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
  • Must not have any Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
  • Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, Diploma and/or Degrees (legally required).

Start Date: August 4th 2025 - December 20th 2025
Closing Date: May 9th 2025


Please note that Green School Bali will not cover visa costs, stipends, or housing allowances during your internship. You will be responsible for funding these expenses. However, Green School Bali is willing to formally act as your sponsor for the duration of the internship, ensuring the necessary documentation and support are provided.
