EDUCATION AND LANGUANGEAdvanced University degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Law or Accounting or other relevant field, or First University degree with an additional five or more years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
Fluency (Level C) both oral and written communication in English and in Bahasa Indonesia.
These jobs are likely to be found in Headquarters (HQ), Regional Bureaux (RBs) or Country Officers (COs). Job holders in the field may report to a more senior Procurement Officer, or the Deputy Country Director or the designate. Job holders in RBs or HQ report to a more senior Procurement Officer. Job holders are likely to be working closely with a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed, and heavily engaged into day-to-day procurement operations.JOB PURPOSE
To collect, analyse and report on information to maximise efficiency of procurement operations and activities.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Support procurement programme and operational activities, (e.g. issue tenders, evaluate offers and negotiate/award contracts), following standard processes and contributing to successful procurement of goods and services.
2. Contribute to analysis of data to provide recommendations for process improvement.
3. Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reports of procurement activities, to contribute to a WFP wide view that enables informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders, leading to performance optimization.
4. Support auditing of procurement activities by collating the necessary information for recommendations to be responded to appropriately to ensure conformity with compliance rules. Work in close collaboration with internal counterparts to align procurement activities with wider programmes and ensure a coherent approach to meeting programme requirements.
5. Support training of WFP staff to take a strategic and proactive approach to the procurement of goods and services, for example designing and reviewing training materials.
6. As and if required guide and supervise a limited number of more junior staff, acting as a point of referral and supporting them with simple analysis and queries.
7. Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
8. Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required to meet emergency goods and services requirements.
9. Supervise and guide business support assistant and and ensure timely application and arrangement of updated government regulations on visas, tax, custom clearance, effective asset management and general administration.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE Experience handling routine transactions/purchase of goods and services.
Demonstrated experience coordinating procurement processes with other units/teams (e.g., Programme/Activity Units, ICT, Administration, Logistics, etc).
Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in procurement and admin related field.
A confidential nature, attention to details and deep analytical skills with a “can do” attitude.
Working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
