This Opportunity:


The Associate, APAC Corporate position will be contributing to business development activities, learning and applying technical expertise to project delivery, and demonstrating excellent relationship building and communication skills. Adapting to dynamic environments and situations to realize results and deliver on-time and on-budget in any context is a critical component of this role.


Location:


The position is based in Palladium’s Jakarta office.

The role is to directly report to Director, APAC Partnership

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:


The primary responsibilities of the Associate can be broadly described as follows:


Market and Business Development:

  • Commit to the delivery of company and regional objectives (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) ensuring that personal KRAs are delivered with excellence and timeliness
  • Understand and contribute to business development activities, including adherence to scope and process, budget development, candidate short listing, competitor analysis, identification and negotiation of partner agreements and problem-solving
  • Develop technical proficiency through drafting sections of bids, and understanding and breaking down problems or challenges in a practical and logical way
  • Undertake research on new business opportunities, potential suppliers and market/competitor/ client research; and analyse and synthesise data to present back to the team
  • Draft quality presentations and proposal materials and deliver in-person presentations confidently, whilst adapting communication style to different audiences
  • Develop an understanding of our clients and the context in which they operate; and build positive working relationships with client project teams, partners and contractors
  • Develop a network of client and prospective client contacts, through attendance at client meetings and networking events


Project Delivery:


  • Support the delivery of complex/challenging projects and deliver some components of the project lifecycle, with supervision
  • Understand Palladium’s project accounting principles and project financial reporting, maintain oversight of project spend against budget, prepare and process payments for vendors and suppliers, and accurately upload forecasts
  • Manage and maintain accurate business data on corporate databases and systems
  • Understand the implication of project risk and support its identification, management and mitigation
  • Identify contract issues and support their timely resolution
  • Negotiate and draft employee and partner contracts and terms of reference
  • Support procurement activities, focussing on our commitment to build diverse supply chains
  • Contribute to the research and preparation of capability statements, policy and program approaches
  • Understand how innovation and technology shape the way we work and make suggestions on how we might change our approach to better utilize data and technology within BD, project design and delivery


Relationships, Communication & Development:


  • Develop and maintain client and stakeholder relationships across assignments and maintain professional, respectful and effective relationships with your colleagues
  • Proactively lead internal initiatives to seek improvements, encouraging team participation and sharing of new ideas
  • Train or buddy more junior colleagues; as well as support the onboarding and training of project teams on company policies and guidelines
  • Focus on self-development by assessing individual contribution against the capability framework, welcoming and embracing regular feedback from others and developing skills in providing balanced feedback to others
  • Create, promote and maintain an equitable, diverse and inclusive work environment through respecting the views of others, listening with empathy and resolving differences in a positive and constructive manner through applying effective conflict resolution techniques


Essential Criteria:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced research and analytical skills
  • Financial and commercial acumen, including excellent skills in Excel
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in teams and with clients
  • Highly developed organisational skills, agility and the ability to balance and prioritise multiple tasks, and work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations throughout the APAC region
