We are a dynamic U.S.-based company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to exciting e-commerce projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Shopify development, an excellent eye for design, and proven experience as a freelancer. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with our team and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Customize Shopify Stores: Lead the development and customization of Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, ensuring they are visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Theme Development: Design and implement custom Shopify themes, leveraging Shopify's Liquid templating language to create unique and engaging user experiences.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance to ensure fast load times and seamless navigation, enhancing the overall user experience.
- Responsive Design: Ensure all Shopify stores are mobile-first and responsive, providing a consistent experience across all devices.
- Integration and Maintenance: Integrate third-party apps and APIs, and maintain the Shopify stores to ensure smooth operation and functionality.
- Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on Shopify best practices and solutions.
- Project Leadership: Scope, architect, and lead complex Shopify development projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful Shopify projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid. Experience with Shopify's API and app ecosystem is essential.
- Design Skills: Excellent eye for design, with the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Freelancing Experience: Proven track record as a freelancer, demonstrating the ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality results.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
