Upwork has partnered with a leading online marketplace specializing in short-term homestays and unique travel experiences. Acting as a trusted broker, the company earns commissions from every booking made through its platform.We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Operations Specialist to serve as the frontline representative of the brand in key neighborhoods across Bali. In this role, you will focus on generating high-quality leads, delivering persuasive in-person sales pitches, and initiating the onboarding process for prospective hosts throughout the island.
Job Description
- Lead Generation: Identify and connect with potential hosts in person, sourcing through online research, cold calling, community engagement, and local networking.
- Sales Pitches: Deliver persuasive in-person conversations to showcase Airbnb Services and its offerings, effectively converting interest into host submissions.
- Onboarding: Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate the initial onboarding of new hosts, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped for success.
- Market Insights: Gather valuable insights from potential hosts and the community to inform sales strategies and improve service offerings.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in sales, partnerships, or community engagement.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; comfortable with cold calling and initiating conversations in various formats.
- A curious and scrappy mindset with an eagerness to proactively identify new tactics & approaches to source and close successful leads.
- Learn about and connect with local communities.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple conversations and leads across various platforms.
- Clear and positive communicator, both verbally and in writing, with an authentic voice.
- Passionate about Airbnb’s mission to create belonging and economic opportunity for hosts.
- Familiarity with social platforms that are most popular in Bali for community engagement and lead generation.
- Experience with or understanding of small business owners, hosts, or side hustlers is a plus.
- Based in Bali and deep local knowledge of the market and its service offerings.
