Azuma Collections is a luxury hospitality management company based in Uluwatu, Bali. We manage the properties and hospitality of our own developed villa projects, which are owned by individual investors. Our role is to ensure consistent quality and operational excellence across live operations, while safeguarding long-term asset value and reliable returns for our villa owners.

Azuma Collections operates at the intersection of hospitality and asset management, combining international standards with strong local execution to deliver professional, transparent, and scalable villa operations.

Role Overview

The Head of Operations is responsible for the overall operational performance of Azuma Collections. This role ensures that all managed villa properties operate efficiently, consistently, and in line with agreed quality standards, financial objectives, and guest experience principles.

As the senior operational leader, the Head of Operations leads the Azuma Collections Leadership Team and acts as the primary operational counterpart for ownership and investors. The role focuses on managing live properties, driving operational excellence, safeguarding asset value, and continuously improving performance across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Governance

  • Define and lead the overall operational strategy for Azuma Collections
  • Ensure consistent operational standards and execution across all managed properties
  • Lead, coordinate, and align the Azuma Collections Leadership Team
  • Set clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations
  • Translate ownership and investor objectives into operational execution

Portfolio & Asset Performance

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the full villa (100+) portfolio
  • Ensure performance aligns with quality, guest satisfaction, and financial targets
  • Safeguard long-term asset value through strong operational management
  • Monitor portfolio-wide performance and intervene where required

People & Organisation

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Leadership Team
  • Ensure clear role definitions, collaboration, and decision-making structures
  • Build a professional, accountable, and performance-driven operational culture
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of senior operational roles

Financial & Commercial Oversight

  • Work closely with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and cost control
  • Ensure operational decisions align with commercial objectives and owner expectations
  • Oversee major operational suppliers, contracts, and service partners
  • Support revenue optimisation in collaboration with Revenue and Data functions

Systems, SOPs & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs across all departments
  • Ensure systems, tools, and workflows support efficient and scalable live operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and operational performance
  • Ensure operational consistency and transparency across the portfolio

Stakeholder & Investor Management

  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for ownership and investor
  • Provide clear, structured, and transparent operational reporting
  • Manage expectations and performance discussions with stakeholders
  • Maintain a professional, reliable, and trusted operating platform

Requirements

  • Proven senior operational leadership experience in hospitality or luxury villa management
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as General Manager in Hotel/ villa operations or as Head of Operations within a multi-property hospitality business
  • Strong understanding of multi-property operations and investor-owned hospitality assets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead senior teams and manage complex live operations
  • Commercially minded with a strong grasp of cost control and performance drivers
  • Highly structured, decisive, and comfortable operating in a growth environment
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with owners, investors, and teams
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia is a strong advantage
