The Quality Assurance (QA) Officer is responsible for ensuring that all products meet company and buyer quality standards from raw material inspection to finished goods. This role monitors production processes, implements quality procedures, and works closely with production and compliance teams to maintain consistent product quality and reduce defects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures, SOPs, and standards.
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to address quality-related issues.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality requirements and company standards.
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are properly implemented and sustained across production processes.
- Monitor defect trends and prepare reports for management review.
- Support external audits and buyer inspections related to quality.
- Provide training and guidance for staff regarding quality standards, inspection methods, and GMP practices.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to align quality with buyer audit expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance (experience in garment, apparel, or bag manufacturing is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and international quality standards.
- Familiarity with RCA, CAPA, 5 Whys, and continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, 5R, etc.).
- Experience handling buyer quality audits and inspections is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; English proficiency is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
