Deskripsi Lowongan Kerja Sales Area Manager Makasar Makassar TerbaruSales Area Manager - FMCG or Household
Job Purpose
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring effective distribution of household products within the assigned area. The ASM leads and manages distributor partners, sales supervisors, and sales representatives to achieve sell-in and sell-out targets, while ensuring excellent execution of trade marketing and promotional programs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement
- Develop and implement area sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive both sell-in and sell-out performance across General Trade (GT)
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective actions to close gaps.
Distributor & Channel Management
- Manage and develop relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
- Ensure optimal distribution coverage, product availability, and pricing compliance in all outlets.
- Monitor distributor stock levels, order management, and credit control (AR).
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives to deliver excellent in-store execution.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor performance, provide guidance, and strengthen team capability.
- Set performance objectives and conduct periodic reviews for the sales team.
Market Execution & Trade Marketing
- Ensure proper execution of trade marketing programs, promotions, and in-store visibility (POSM, displays, branding).
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities.
- Propose and implement area-level marketing and promotional initiatives in line with national strategy.
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales achievement, distribution, competitor activities, and trade promotions.
- Monitor and analyze fast-moving vs slow-moving products to optimize product mix.
- Support management in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning for the area.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales target achievement (sell-in & sell-out)
- Active outlet growth (NPL & NOO)
- Distribution coverage (numeric & weighted)
- Market share improvement vs competitors
- Execution of trade marketing programs (compliance & visibility)
- Team performance and capability development
- Effective AR (Account Receivable) and stock management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in FMCG/Household industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong understanding of GT , distributor management, and sales operations.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop sales strategies.
- Leadership skills with experience in coaching and motivating sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and sales reporting tools.
