We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to support Gardens of the Sun in various financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial models, principles, and procedures; excellent organizational skills; and the ability to multitask effectively. As a Finance Specialist, you will collaborate with other departments to contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

This role will be a full-time WFO position for 40 hours and 5 days a week. You’ll be working on-site from our studio in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali.
Expected start date: Immediately
Main responsibilities
- Financial operations
- Manage daily financial operations, including petty cash and bank payments.
- Maintain and reconcile financial transaction records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process employee salaries, benefits, and compensation packages.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and manage expense, income, and tax reports.
- Develop monthly budgets, cash flow reports, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants and assist in preparing requirements for compliance and reporting.
- Administration & support duties:
- File and archive financial documents.
- Report on financial matters to Director and on monthly meetings.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry practices.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Perform other finance and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements

- You’re a data enthusiast and a meticulous person, ensuring no detail, however small, escapes your keen eye.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable with voicing your opinions to your superiors backed by data for the improvement of our processes.
- You’re fluent in accounting and financial systems, especially Jurnal and Excel, and have no trouble mastering new systems and procedures as well as being able to quickly adapt to changes.
- You manage to prioritize your tasks smoothly and manage your time effectively.
- You're a self-starter, ready to take on any task independently and see it through to completion, all while communicating and collaborating within a team environment.
- You commit to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
- You’re experienced with tax reports, and certification in Brevet Tax is a plus.
- You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, preferably with prior experience in a finance modeling or accounting role.

- Have trouble communicating clearly and directly with superiors and different teams
- Can't take constructive feedback and use it to improve your work and processes
- Don't have the ability to work independently without constant direction
- Are a fresh graduate without relevant work experience under your belt
- Aren’t looking for a long-term position
- Aren’t based in Bali
- Are looking for a fully remote position
